Mother’s Day Giveaway and Gift Ideas

A mother’s day is so full. Whether you work outside the home, stay at home, or work from home there’s no end to your duties. Your family is your life and you give until your cup is completely empty.

Gifts:

Gifts are always a good choice.  It could be a classic like flowers, chocolates, or wine; a pretty picture frame with the kids; or handmade macaroni necklace or a pile of mud and stick sculpture. It’s from your kids, you’ve got to love it.  My son’s favorite thing right now is drawing.  I get a ton of pictures.

Memories:

Cards are nice but something from your child is better.  Handprints are easy.  We use finger paint and my son loves to paint himself more than what he’s supposed to be painting.

One idea I absolutely love is something from saw This Mamma Needs Chocolate.  It’s a journal instead of cards.  You can give everyone in the family their own section or a page for each Mother’s day and keep it all in one place.  Such a smart idea I plan on using myself. 

The journal is also a great place to keep all of those lovely pictures.  It can be handprints, fill in the blank with Dad’s help or writing when they get older.  

Freedom:

One thing I’m always up for is a little time off.  An hour, a night off or even a whole day.  Go for a massage, Mani/pedi or coffee with a friend.  Maybe even go shopping by yourself.

My husband works two jobs.  He’s busy. When I get a break it’s extremely rare. Or it’s playing hooky on the way home from work.  Any form of freedom is appreciated.
