Sharing is caring!

Summers are full of fun and sunshine.  We’re out and about almost every day. The more activity the better for my son.  Here are our summer plans. Sunday through Saturday with water, reading, and lots of outside play.  A more relaxed summer schedule.

We try to be outside at least once a day.  It’s time to enjoy our summer with a relaxed schedule.  We have a huge garden at our house that needs weeding, a stream that needs to be played in, and a sandbox that needs some castles creating.  There are two days a week of “lessons”. I know it’s not the school year but he likes learning. And I teach swimming lessons in the morning two days a week that Aiden gets to take too.

Sundays

Summer fun, relaxed summer schedule, relaxed summer, schedule, preschool, toddler, tadpoles and mud puddles, bouncy castle

Sunday time for Sunday school and bouncy houses.  Our church runs a wonderful Sunday school program with tons of play and imagination time a lot with a lesson and song while the adults are in the service.  After church, the staff usually has one of their huge bouncy houses up for the kids to bounce or climb.

Mondays

Story time, library, summer fun, relaxed summer schedule
Reading “Otto the Boy Who Loved Cars” at the library

Monday is story time for 2-4-year-olds at our library.  This may be switching to Wednesdays soon. The Wednesday one is geared to a little bit older kids.  So they have some kindergarten lessons after the stories. Mondays are also our full day out in town.  There’s always something to do. We usually do lunch and park time too.

Our library has a summer reading program from June through August so we usually use our time at the library to rack up some books for our reading list.

Tuesdays

swimming lessons, toddler can swim, summer fun, relaxed summer schedule

Tuesday is swimming lessons.  I teach the preschool class twice a week and Aiden gets to swim with the other kids.  We may go to the park too.

We do a lesson after lunch.  Either science or math.

Wednesdays

Playing in the sand

Wednesday is my blogging day.  We stay home and play outside. Water, sand, and sunshine.  Lots of the same things we’ve done this spring.

Thursdays

swimming, swimming lessons, toddler can swim, summer fun, relaxed summer schedule

Thursday another swimming day.  We may go to the park too.

Another lesson after lunch.  Either reading for writing.

Fridays

Summer fun, relaxed summer schedule, relaxed summer, schedule, preschool, toddler, tadpoles and mud puddles, delgrosso's amusement park

Friday is a day out at Delgrosso’s.  We purchased the season pass for the year at this amusement park.  Or if it’s rainy we’re home with an activity either from Pinterest or one that I’m testing out for you.

Check out our rainy day activities board.

Saturdays

Summer fun, relaxed summer schedule, relaxed summer, schedule, preschool, toddler, tadpoles and mud puddles, biking, daddy time

Saturday Daddy’s day.  Usually playing outside either at home or on bikes in the park.

Relax, It’s Summer

So that’s our summer week.  It’s not a lot of scheduled anything.  We’re happy playing outside and enjoying the sunshine.  Although there will probably be a day camp at some point.   Oh, and we’re going to the beach too.

Keep an eye out for our Rainy Day ideas for Summer coming soon.
