Thanksgiving this year may be a bit different this year.  If it’s time to get crafty and active keep reading.  Crafts and activities are a fun way to celebrate a holiday.  Here are 53 crafts and activities to keep you busy this Thanksgiving.

Turkey Crafts

Turkey is iconic for Thanksgiving here in America.  It’s one of my favorite crafts too.  Not only are they colorful you can add a face.  It might be a little hard to line up right for your littles but it’s a great way for them to get started on making faces.  

Here are a few supplies you might need.  Most of these require household craft supplies so probably have them already.

Handprint Turkey Craft

This adorable handprint turkey craft from A Dab Of Glue Will Do just needs a few craft supplies and a set of little hands.  It’s a perfect keepsake or nice decoration for Thanksgiving.  You’ll need a toilet paper tube, brown paint, red paper, orange paper, yellow paper, eyeballs, a paintbrush, scissors, and glue.  

A Colorful & Cute Turkey Handprint Craft For Kids

Handprint crafts are a beautiful way to keep those little hands tiny forever.  Make this handprint turkey with the template available on Simple Everyday Mom.  You’ll need the template, cardstock in different colors, googly eyes, glue, and a pencil. 

Thanksgiving Hand Turkey Craft

This handprint shouldn’t cost you anything if you have: construction paper, scissors, a marker, pencil, and glue.  Find it on Easy-Crafts-for-Kids.  There are also two free coloring pages on the website.  You’ll need to hand-draw a few of the parts and trace your child’s hands.     

Footprint and Handprint Thanksgiving Turkey Craft

Decorate your bookmark like a turkey for Red Ted Art.  You’ll need origami paper or half a sheet of A4 paper, colorful paper, a black pen, scissors, and glue.

Easy Thanksgiving Craft for Kids: Turkey Handprint & Feathers

Make this Turkey as a keepsake.  It’s made on a canvas.  Get directions on Best Vinyl Cutters.   You’ll need a canvas, paint, paintbrushes, feathers, googly eyes, and letter stamps or stickers.  

Cardboard Turkey Craft for Preschoolers

If you have a lot of scrap craft stuff leftover try out this cardboard collage turkey.  Check it out on Red Ted Art. You’ll need the printable, cardboard, googly eyes, red yarn, yellow or orange paper, glue, scissors, collage supplies, and paint.  

Cardboard Thankful Turkey Craft

If you like the idea of a thankfulness tree check out this cute turkey craft.  Another one from a dab of glue will do.  You’ll need some cardboard, colorful cardstock paper, googly eyes, glue, scissors, and the template you can find on a dab of glue will do.

Coffee Filter Turkeys Thanksgiving Craft for Kids

These coffee filter turkeys are super easy to make.  Check out the instructions on Dracy and Brain.  You’ll need coffee filters; clothespins; red and yellow foam; googly eyes; glue; brown paint; yellow, orange, red, and brown markers; and a spray bottle of water.  This is easy enough for a preschooler with a little help.

Tie-Dye Thanksgiving Turkey Craft for Preschoolers

The coffee filter-style turkey is super easy for little ones.  This preschooler version from The Play-Based Mom uses coffee filters, markers, colored paper, googly eyes, a spray bottle with water, glue, and scissors.  Cut out the paper and let your little one do this one all by themselves.  

Popsicle Stick Turkey Craft

Check out this popsicle stick turkey on About A Mom.   You’ll need popsicle sticks, short popsicle sticks, brown paint, orange pipe cleaner, colored paper, glue, googly eyes, and a paintbrush.

Egg Carton Turkey Craft for Thanksgiving

Create this cute little turkey candy holder from Red Ted Art. You’ll need an egg carton (cardboard preferably), colored paper, googly eyes, scissors, glue, and some candy corn.  You can make it a thankfulness project by writing the things you’re thankful for on the turkey’s feathers. 

Easy Painted Rock Turkey Craft for Thanksgiving

There’s a lot of fun in painting rocks.  Try out this cute painted turkey from  I Love Painted Rocks.  You’ll need the perfect rock, some paint, a paintbrush, and some sealer.

Turkey Weaving

Make this mostly natural turkey from The Growing Creatives.  Get outside and find some twigs.  Once you have them you’ll need some yarn, twine, googly eyes, colored paper, scissors, and glue.   

Glitter CD Turkey

Make this glittery turkey out of an old CD or DVD.  It’s on Crafts by Amanda.  You’ll also need colored paper, glitter, feathers, glue, and scissors.  And maybe a vacuum.
